Alexandre Paulkevitch is a Lebanese Baladi dancer living in Beirut. Alexandre graduated from the University of Paris VIII with a degree in Theater and Dance (2006).
Alexandre trained with several Arab female dance icons including Dina, Lucy, and Nelly Fouad. His research, art practice and methodology revolve around developing and reviving Baladi dance into a contemporary and politically charged art form. Alexandre has performed in various spaces in Lebanon and internationally, ranging from underground parties to internationally-recognized festivals and museums.
